Oslo Airport City
Oslo Airport City is an extensive and current urban development project located between Oslo Airport and the town of Jessheim. Oslo Airport is Norway's largest and Scandinavia's second largest airport.
Oslo Airport City aims to complement, reinforce and create synergies between already existing entities in the area, as well as being a driving force behind the new commercial park.
Airport cities are the wave of the future
Aerotropolises (airport cities) have been attracting considerable interest in recent years. The demand for commercial services and recreational areas near airports is increasing globally. Airports are traditionally thought of as places serving the air transport industry. Today they have become multifunctional conglomerates which generate substantial commercial development and a significant revenue stream on a micro and macro level. This is giving way to a much broader concept where airports are no longer only built around large cities. Now, cities are emerging around airports. In other words; city airports are transforming into airport cities.
The developer's vision emanates from decisions made by the government of Norway and by the City of Oslo to expand public transport and traffic hubs in Oslo and in the cities near Oslo. The company has assigned the task of designing the new aerotropolis to a working group consisting of three of its board members.

Oslo Airport City (OAC) is an urban property development project which aims to build approximately 1 million square meters of approx. 1 mill. square meters of:
- Convention/conference/trade fair center
- Industry, manufacturing and processing
- Service/service providers
All this will occur adjacent to Oslo Airport, with direct communication to the airport express train, the E6 freeway, the E16 freeway and the town of Jessheim. Jessheim is a small, yet important and expanding commercial centre which attracts a variety of businesses and industries.
Ever-increasing globalization is a relevant factor to the development of Oslo Airport City. Continuous growth generates a demand for an increased number of accommodation opportunities, convention centres, trade/service, logistics/transportation as well as recreational facilities in close proximity to both national and international state-of-the-art transport hubs.Some projects already underway

Board of directors
Thor has 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, mainly focusing on urban development. He has been a key player in the development of the highly acclaimed Barcode project in Oslo since 2005 where he was deputy managing director in charge of development and market. Prior to this, he held key positions at property developers such as Eiendomshuset Malling, Fearnley Finans and SkifteEiendom. In 2016 he founded ThorReal, and immediately landed the responsibility of remodelling the iconic Telegraph Building in the heart of Oslo's old quarter. Thor has also assisted in designing the Oslo Metropolitan Area (OMA), where he was chairman during the first four years of the project, as well as the Oslo Urban Arena (OUA) where he was director and owner until 2016. Thor was head hunted for the role of managing director for Oslo Airport City AS and has held the position since its founding in 2016. He is responsible for the development and expansion of 1 million m2 at Oslo Airport City/Gardermoen Næringspark.
Paul Lødøen is one of Norway's most experienced urban developers. He was previously the managing director for Eeg-Henriksen Bygg and group managing director for NCC Norge. He then accepted the role of managing director for Oslo S Utvikling AS (OSU) in 2004 where he was responsible for Norway's biggest urban development project, the Barcode in Bjørvika. Paul has also worked with property development internationally. He is currently a board member of several companies such as Høegh Eiendom AS, HENT AS, Drammen Kommune Utvikling AS and Norsk Jernbanedrift AS, as well as several smaller companies.
Anders Vedal is the head of Vedal Utvikling and owns Vedal AS. Vedal was a key asset in iconic urban development projects like Bjørvika, Union Brygge in Drammen, Økern, Landbrukskvartalet and Kanalbyen in Kristiansand. The Vedal Group consists of approx. 140 engineers and covers the entire value chain in real estate development from ideas and concepts to the delivery of turnkey projects.
Peter Groth is a legend in the real estate industry and is considered by many as one of the country's best urban and city developers. He has been managing director at Aspelin Ramm Eiendom for more than 25 years and has been a pivotal figure in several major city development projects such as Vulkan, Tjuvholmen, Union Brygge Drammen and Vollebekk in Groruddalen, to mention a few. Peter has significant experience with property development internationally. He has been appointed to the board of directors of a number of major property market operators such as AF Gruppen, Høegh Eiendom, Selvaag Bolig, Møller Eiendom and Mustad Eiendom, and for the trade association Norsk Eiendom and smaller property companies.
