Signed agreement for a new special building
Oslo Airport City (OAC) has recently finalised long-term lease agreements for a new 15,000 m2 building, strategically located right next to the World Seafood Center (WSC), which is already under construction.
When OAC announced it was starting construction for the first phase of WSC at the beginning of the year, there was hope that more actors in the seafood industry would follow. We can now confirm that a distinct new building will take shape in the central area next to WSC.
In collaboration with three stakeholders, OAC has designed this new structure, which is tailored to accommodate specialised logistics, offices, and workshops. The building, spanning 15,000 m2, has been purposely designed to meet the unique needs of its tenants.
“We have entered into long-term lease agreements, of 15 years, with solid and specialised stakeholders and users. The building’s estimated cost is NOK 300 million,” says Jon Tallberg, Marketing Director, OAC.
The submission of the framework application is planned for Q1 2022, with construction commencing in the summer and anticipated completion in autumn 2023. Like WSC and Porsche Center Gardermoen, the project will be carried out as a turnkey contract in cooperation with Vedal Construction.
